This section collects training resources that address critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity in general terms, without focusing on a specific sector. These courses provide foundational knowledge on topics such as the European regulatory framework, risk management, and physical and cyber security, and are therefore relevant to operators across all sectors covered by the NIS2 and CER directives.
EU-CIP Courses
EU-CIP is an Horizon Europe project that developed a series of training materials regarding critical infrastructures, which consist of videos and PDFs. In addition to the courses linked in this chapter, the knowledge hub developed in the project also contains white papers and reports regarding specific sectors (e.g. maritime, railway and transport in general) that might be of interest. Registration is required to access the knowledge hub but all the materials are free.

This section includes training materials from various providers, ranging from EU-funded projects to commercial platforms. While not all resources are specifically focused on NIS2 and CER directives, they address closely related topics such as critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity and can therefore provide useful background knowledge.

Sector-specific training
This section organises the available training resources by sector, allowing partners to identify materials most relevant to their operational context. It opens with a broader subsection on transport, logistics and supply chain, followed by more specific sections dedicated to maritime ports, freight villages and airports. Given the overall scarcity of sector-specific training on NIS2 and CER, some of the resources listed address adjacent topics, such as cybersecurity or general resilience, rather than the directives directly.
Transport, logistics, supply chain
This section collects training resources relevant to the transport, logistics and supply chain sector. Given the limited availability of courses specifically addressing NIS2 and CER requirements for transport operators, the selection includes materials that cover related topics such as supply chain cybersecurity and risk management, which are directly applicable to entities falling under the scope of the two directives.

Maritime ports
Training resources specifically targeting maritime port infrastructures are scarce. Most available courses focus on vessel operations and marine traffic management rather than on the security and resilience of port facilities as critical infrastructure entities. The resources listed below are the most relevant that could be identified.

Airports
The gap in training material availability is especially pronounced in the airport sector. Despite airports being explicitly listed among the critical entities covered by the CER Directive, dedicated training resources addressing their resilience obligations remain virtually absent from the market. The single course identified below approaches the topic primarily from a cybersecurity angle, and is delivered in-person rather than online.
